“Most of my artwork starts with a real moment, and this one begins next to the local Fred Meyer. I spotted a crane standing perfectly still in a ditch filled with water, probably looking for a snack. This wasn't exactly on the course, but I was driving home from Saturday doubles league, so I’m counting it.
The rest of the design is inspired by one of my favorite holes at my home course, Columbia Shore DGC. Hole 15 has a beautiful river flowing right behind the tee pad, the kind of place a crane should be hunting for fish instead of hanging out by a grocery store parking lot.”
